It can be difficult to know where to begin when navigating your way around fertility and pregnancy support.

If you’re looking for a helping hand of initial support or an introduction to tackling certain topics, I’ve created a selection of one-to-one workshops.

You can work with me to chat through your concerns, understand your options and make a plan for your next steps.

The workshop content can be added and amended to meet your specific needs. The lists of workshops available may also extend as time goes on and based on client feedback.

The workshops available are;

  1. Navigating The Fertility System

Navigating and understanding your own fertility options and how the system works can be overwhelming.

This workshop will help you to feel more assured and confident in when and how to access fertility support.

Gain a better understanding of how the system works and the requirements for referrals and treatment.

Learn how to advocate for yourself and understand what your options are.

Build a bank of resources to feel ready to start your journey or change direction in a way that suits you.

2. Building Boundaries

Fertility and pregnancy can consume your entire life and affect your relationships. It can be difficult to know and state your boundaries, communicate them to others and maintain them.

Going through fertility support or being pregnant can also make others feel entitled to information about you or your situation that you are not comfortable sharing.

Explore and establish your own levels of comfort on certain topics and communicate with others on how they should treat you.

Learn how to communicate your boundaries with others.

Know what to do if your limits and wants are being disrespected or crossed.

Master how to maintain your boundaries free from guilt.

The Building Boundaries workshop will help you feel more considered and valued by others by fostering a dynamic of mutual respect on your terms.

3. Fatness, Queerness & Fertility

BMI and weight discrimination are some of the biggest barriers for Queer and LGBTQI+ people in accessing fertility support to start their family.

It can feel very isolating and daunting to be potentially rejected for support with little to no help from your medical team. Very little consideration is also given to the intersections and attributing factors with Queerness and Fatness.

Through the workshop, gain confidence and don’t lose faith by how others perceive your body in your fertility journey.

Separate the myths from facts on fertility, fatness and the Queer experience.

Learn how to advocate for yourself and have any fertility concerns that you do have recognised and taken seriously by your medical team.

Any of the workshops can be booked and paid for through the Workshops & Trainings section of the Braw Birth website. I’ll then be in touch to schedule a date for us to have the session together.

If you’re keen for more detailed support for your fertility journey or pregnancy and birth. I have full bespoke doula packages that I can discuss and create with you too. Check out the Services and Support section of Braw Birth above to enquire.

I look forward to working with you soon.
